CA places four hotels in TripAdvisor USA Top 25
California grabs four of the top 25 spots in TripAdvisor's latest rankings of the best hotels in the USA. The state ties New York for the most properties in one state on the list.

The hotels listed are in various  1locations in California but the one thing they have in common is uncommon luxury. Here’s a list of the properties, along with their online descriptions:

Bardessono–Yountville, ranked No. 2

This eco-conscious luxury hotel and spa partially powered by rooftop solar panels is a half-mile from the Arts Center at Lincoln Theater, and a mile from the Napa Valley Museum.

Featuring gas fireplaces and lavish bathrooms with hidden massage tables for in-room spa treatments (fee), the chic, sunny suites offer free WiFi and 40-inch HDTVs, plus sitting areas with daybeds, courtyards or balconies, and minifridges with free bottled water.

The upscale rooms come with flat-screen TVs and coffeemakers, plus free WiFi and iPod docking stations. Many have vineyard views. Upgraded rooms and suites feature balconies or patios, while some add a butler's pantry and separate living and dining rooms.

Country-chic rooms come with terraces, fireplaces, luxury bedding, and soaking tubs. All feature flat-screen TVs, Blu-ray players, Bose sound systems and Nespresso machines. WiFi and snacks are free. At the south end of Yountville's Washington Street restaurant row, this spa resort is 3 miles from the Silverado Trail with its many vineyards. It's a block off of the St. Helena Highway, 9 miles north of Napa and 60 miles from San Francisco.

Country-chic rooms have fieldstone fireplaces, minibars, coffeemakers, LCD TVs and free WiFi; many have vaulted ceilings or patios.

The resort restaurant serves a seasonal local menu; there's also light fare at the bar, pool, spa and room service, and local wineries hold tastings on-site.
