Busy schedule set for Temecula AutumnFest
The folks from Temecula and Southern California Wine Country 1 are putting out the word that it's time to plan ahead for Autumnfest in Temecula. This vibrant community draws hordes of visitors in the fall season as the locals plan several events around the great Autumn weather.

From Labor Day until Thanksgiving visitors will enjoy an especially great selection of activites -- from hot air balloon flights to live music and outdoor festivals, from California-Certified Farmers Markets to the Temecula Valley International Film Festival. There are farm activities, olive ranch tours, grape stomps, a quilt show, and the Harvest Celebration Barrel Tasting, according to the Temecula Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The less-busy fall weekdays are a great time to enjoy Temecula's seasonal restaurant menus and artisan foods as well as the wineriesí new releases. While weekends can be quite busy, the weekdays are a good time to tour the many wineries and visit their unique tasting rooms.

Temecula has "arrived" as a major wine touring region. Just north and east of San Diego, the valley welcomes more than 2 million visitors each year. The area also is easily accessible from Los Angeles and owes its popularity to the combination of picturesque scenery and dozens of up-and-coming wineries.
